Work in cloud, make a mark.

Whats going on with this Cloud thing? What’s all the hype? To put it simply, it makes things easier for people, business and providers. They can focus on what they do best, and the cloud provider can take care of making all the infrastructure work. Using someone else’s infrastructure is not a new concept, in fact I had a friend once tell me not so long ago – ” we use to call this hosting “. That said, today, it’s made easy and accessible for the user, which is what has led to the Cloud’s success.

So why am I talking about this? Well there is so much innovation in this sector today, and it’s allowing developers, engineers and leaders to rethink how we build, scale and manage large and diverse systems. This is what’s so exciting for me and those around me. Where there is a problem to solve, there is an opportunity to make something that did not exist before.

When I talk to network engineers, software developers and others, I see the excitement when these folks realize the vast potential they have to help us solve new and complex problems. It’s invigorating to see this excitement and what all these talented folks produce. I can’t say enough about the opportunity to be exposed to the challenges faced by cloud providers. It’s this need that drives so much innovation, investment and productivity. My advice to anyone looking to make a mark in the 21st century – be part of this elite team which is forging our path into how we offer computing to the masses and revolutionize how businesses run their applications.
